CAF has signed a contract to supply 30 metro units for the Turkish city of ISTANBUL. The operation amounts to 139 million euros.

CAF’s backlog at the end of the 1st quarter of 2009 lies at 4,188 million Euros, a 30% increase on the 1st quarter, last year.

The backlog at the 31st of March, 2009 lies at 4,188 million Euros, i.e. a 30% increase on the backlog at the 31st of March, the year before.

CAF signs deal to supply trains to Metro de Medellín

CAF signed on Wednesday, December the 2nd, a contract to supply 12 Trains for Metro de Medellín (Colombia). This deal amounts to €70 million.

At the end of the first half of 2009 CAF has obtained net profit, after taxation, of 52.5 million euros.

CAF’s Backlog at the 30th of June, 2009 amounted to 4,189.5 million euros, which is an improvement on the backlog at the end of the first half of 2008. Of the current backlog, more than 45% relates to foreign market projects.
